One of the most historic cities in the country is Annapolis Maryland. Annapolis, which was established in 1696, is the capital of the state. It is a vivacious city located on the Chesapeake Bay that is rich with history and colonial charm. • Wednesday Night Races: Every Wednesday, 150 yachts contend in a mid-week race. The races, which are open only to Annapolis Yacht Club members, draw big crowds as the yachts cross the finish line.
• Special events: There are many Annapolis events throughout the year. Some of the most popular are the United States Sailboat and Powerboat shows, which produce large crowds each year. The USNA Commissioning Week with airshows by the Blue Angels, concerts, dances and more. The Holiday Parade of Lights held in early December, this night-time lighted boat parade is sponsored by the Eastport Yacht Club and is spectacular for children and families alike.

Jimmy Cantler’s Riverside Inn has scrumptious crabs, clams, oysters, shrimp, and much more. It is a local’s favorite and one that is frequently inhabited by USNA midshipmen.
• Pusser’s Caribbean Grille: This exceptional restaurant features fresh Caribbean cuisine. It also has a dockside bar for guests to enjoy their favorite drinks. Pusser’s is famous for the Pusser’s Painkiller, which is a popular drink in Annapolis. Pusser’s is one of the most visited restaurants in the city.
• Chick and Ruth’s: This deli has unforgettable homemade eggs, fries, and hash. Visitors also love the incredible think milkshakes. Guests should prepare to stand in line to eat at this unique restaurant. It is not on the water, but just up Main Street from the City Dock.
• Phillip’s Seafood Restaurant: This Ocean City favorite located to the City Dock area of Annapolis years ago and has remained popular.
