Wreaths Across America Stopped at the WWII Memorial to lay a wreath in Annapolis

The City of Annapolis said it best, so I am just quoting their newsletter here about the stop in Annapolis by the “Wreaths Across America” group.

As part of an annual wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery that incorporates volunteer efforts from across the nation, Wreaths Across America stopped near Annapolis before traveling to D.C.

While passing through Anne Arundel County, the convoy stopped at the World War II Memorial, on Route 450, Friday, December 9 for a ceremony which is co-hosted by the City of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, with the United States Naval Academy participating as a special guest.

This year’s journey by Wreaths Across America, known as the world’s largest veteran’s parade, began Sunday, December 6 in Maine and ended Saturday, December 10 in Washington D.C. with the 8:30 a.m. opening ceremony at the Memorial Amphitheater near the Tomb of the Unknowns.
