Midnight Madness in Downtown Annapolis is an Historic Downtown Annapolis “Shop Local” holiday tradition that encompasses the charm and character of our most beloved memories of Norman Rockwell and Charles Dickens. The streets and storefronts will be adorned with holiday decorations, trees, garland, snowflakes, bows and lights to create a Downtown Winter Wonderland. Residents and visitors are invited to stroll along Main Street, West Street, Maryland Avenue, State Circle and Dock Street from 6PM until Midnight on December 1 and 8 (6PM until 11PM on December 15) to support our local businesses. When we Shop Local, we reinvest in our community and help our downtown businesses thrive.
“Downtown Annapolis is an alluring and eclectic mix of retail, food, history, culture, arts and ideas, where inspiration thrives in a vibrant and engaging environment of innovation and creativity. This makes it an ideal location for Midnight Madness,” says Shellie Reed, Executive Director of the Downtown Annapolis Partnership. “Midnight Madness creates a unique sense of place in our community and builds a strong and supportive – and quite festive – business environment for small business owners with a very specific purpose: Shop Local! This year we are delighted to announce one of my favorite additions to Midnight Madness. The Secret Santa Shoppe for Children, located in the Lil’ Lamb Boutique shop on Maryland Avenue, will be open on Thursday, December 1 from 4-8PM. Children ages 4-10 will be able to shop for gifts, all under five dollars, for their loved ones. This delightful, small business event is certain to create many cherished memories.”
