The first annual International Food, Wine and Hops Fest in Annapolis, MD was a success. The event sold out, the food was delicious, the drinks were plenty, and the weather was beyond cooperative. Every element worked well together to make this, April 30th, event great.

During the International Food, Wine and Hops Fest those who participated could stroll down historic West Street and sample delicious food, sip on great wine, drink a beer, and enjoy live entertainment. Also taking place the same day were the annual St. John’s versus Naval Academy Croquet Match, followed by May Day and the First Sunday Arts Festival.

18 separate Annapolis restaurants were present with their specialty foods, wines, and beers for sampling during this event.

Local Restaurants that participated included:

 

  • Azure from the Westin: Delivered fresh rockfish with fennel and an orange sauce that was a favorite by many festival attendees.
  • Tsunami: Served up extremely large portions of sushi and sashimi to those interested in the delicacy.
  • 49 West: Offered delicious orange-flavored soft drinks to those who weren’t interested in drinks containing alcohol, those who were nominated designated driver by their friends, or those under the age of 21.
  • Luna Blu : Served a refreshing and great tasting sparkling white wine as well as several other samples from their Italian Restaurant.
