Ram’s Head, 49 West Coffeehouse, and Maryland Hall present varied musical genres. Annapolis Historical Foundation brings you a day in the 18th century. And The Colonial Players open a musical this week. Try something new!

Annapolis Music

Monday through Sunday brings you plenty of great entertainment, namely music. Monday at 49 West, 12 Voices featuring Chatham Street returns. This husband/wife duo plays an interesting mixture of old-time gospel, bluegrass, and pop. They play at 7:30 p.m. and the cover charge is $12. Tuesday, Unified Jazz Ensemble returns at 8:30 p.m. playing none other than beautiful jazz. Enjoy this experience for $6. Wednesday, 49 West offers you more jazz with Starr’s Jazz Jam at 7 p.m. This night of music only costs $10. Thursday, Rob Levit Group hits the stage at 8:30 with jazz tunes. The cover charge is $6. Friday, celebrate the end of the work week with Mac Walter and John Cronin, guitar enthusiasts. These talented players begin at 8 p.m. and charge $10. Saturday, try out Hendrik Meurkens & Trio Vera, a group comprised of Meurkens on the harmonica and other group members doling out smooth jazz. They play at 4 p.m. and charge $20. Also on Saturday, The Other Band plays at 7:30 and 9:30. The cover charge is $8. If you’re in the mood for brunch on Sunday, head to 49 West and enjoy the sounds of Jonathan Stone at 10 a.m. There is no charge for this event, so treat yourself to a large coffee or sweet drink. Also on Sunday, Swing Bros, two Unified Jazz Ensemble members, join special guests on stage. There’s no cover charge. At 8:30 on Sunday, Adrian Bond and Joanne Juskus perform acoustics on stage. If you’re partial to rock, check out Ram’s Head’s music this week. On Monday and Tuesday, The Psychedelic Furs, punk/electronic/rock band from the 80s plays on stage at 8 p.m. both nights. Rock out with the Furs for $45. Wednesday, Phil Vassar, country crooner, plays at 6 and 9 p.m. Ticket admission is $56.50. Marrakesh Express plays at 8 p.m. on Thursday. This group is perfect for fans of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Ticket price is $22.50. Friday, Thomas Dolby takes the stage at 6:30 and 9:30, making music much like that of Duran Duran or Devo. Dolby’s music carries a $39.50 admission fee. Next up, Celtic Crossroads livens up the stage with Irish dance music on Saturday at 4:30 and 8 p.m. The 4:30 show is for all ages, whereas the 8 p.m. show is for those over 21. Want to see something classical this week? Maryland Hall for Creative Arts offers Mendelsshon’s Scottish Symphony on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24. This event takes place on Maryland Hall’s main stage at 8 p.m. both nights. Annapolis Plays

The Colonial Players open “The Spitfire Grill” this Friday, March 23. In this musical, the talented actors will show you the spirit one person can change in a community. Annapolis History

Annapolis Historic Foundation brings you the opportunity to meet 18th century folk on March 24. “Hogshead Opens for the Season” presents all kinds of 18th century people: frontiersmen, longhunters, colonial doctors, tavern keepers, servants, etc. Dive back into your town’s history!
