Annapolis Restaurant Week may be over, but that doesn’t mean downtown community-invited events halt. For starters, there’s the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Annapolis. Additionally, walking tours, art auctions, choral performances, and much more are offered.

One in the afternoon on a Sunday might typically translate to a quiet, lazy afternoon but this March 9th, downtown Annapolis shakes that notion up. The 2nd Annual Annapolis St. Patrick’s Day Parade throughout downtown is scheduled, complete with live music, marching bands, and activities for the whole family. For instance, the USNA Marching Band performs lively tunes ideal for celebrating in the streets. The Chesapeake Caledonian Pipes & Drums Band and Dublin 5 perform in a classic Celtic spirit. Rams head does music better than most and this week, they have the lineup to prove it. Tab Benoit performs Monday and Tuesday in his typical blues fashion. Both nights, Benoit performs at 8 p.m. Each show costs $32.50. Stephen Kellogg with Boots Factor perform part rock and roll, party punk rock at 8 p.m. for $26.50. Maysa, a soulful yet jazzy artist, performs on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Each show costs $35. Dana Fuchs performs a powerful rock/indie show at 8 p.m. for $23.50. on Friday. Saturday, Savoy Brown and Kim Simmonds perform for a “Going to the Delta” cd release. The show begins at 8:30 p.m. and costs $28.50. Sunday, Celtic Crossroads performs a lively, Irish show for all ages at 3:30 p.m. and for the older crowd at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $39.50. This week marks the final one for The Colonial Players’ performance, Superior Donuts. St. Anne’s Church hosts The Annapolis Chorale’s Chamber Chorus performance on March 7 and March 8. This performance features two much-acclaimed choral works: one by Mozart and the other by Bruckner. The Annapolis art community plays a significant role in speaking about our culture here. Maryland Hall celebrates the power of local artists with “All That Art” art auction on Friday, March 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event is open to all at the price of $75 per person. This ticket awards you access to meet-and-greets with artists, substantial hors d’oeuvres, wine, champagne, live and silent auctions, and plenty of entertainment. The Chesapeake Children’s Museum offers a “Cook With Me” interactive workshop for parents and children on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This workshop provides instruction on basic cooking techniques used in dishes like quesadillas with fruit salsa and cinnamon chips.
