Think the extent of your kids’ summer activities will be lounging around inside, playing video games, and eating nachos? Think again. While lounging, gaming, and eating are perfectly fine in moderation, summer camps can arguably be the best part of summer for youngsters. Luckily, USNA is gearing up for a summer’s worth of fun sports camps for young Annapolis area kids. Kids can enjoy a diversity of sports too–anything from rowing to diving to wrestling. Of course, the most common camps, like lacrosse, basketball, soccer, tennis, and football, are offered as well. Against the beautiful backdrop of USNA’s campus, the Severn River, and the heart of Annapolis, what kid wouldn’t want to get involved in a camp? We provide a brief yet comprehensive look into the fun your kids could be having with USNA summer camps.
With true Navy spirit, the USNA summer camps described below are meant to weave together teamwork, entertainment, and serious practice. Kids aspiring to athletic greatness and kids who simply want to have fun with old and new friends can enjoy these camps. Many sports, like soccer, basketball, and volleyball, are open to both boys and girls. Others, like wrestling, are only available for boys. Campers are able to practice and play during the day and spend the night making friends and resting on campus. Meals are provided by USNA. Campers can also choose to commute every day for a lesser fee.
