Only one musical group has the capability to hold the title: oldest and finest. That band, of course, would be the Naval Academy’s “Navy’s Oldest and Finest.” This Tuesday, the group supplies the crowd at City Dock with a free performance from 7 to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome to this performance and the next one, on Saturday, August 10, at Quiet Waters Park. Looking for one part music and two parts performance? Attend the Summer Garden Theatre’s Into the Woods. The performance takes a turn to the wild side of traditional stories from childhood. More music comes from the beloved Ram’s Head on Stage, conveniently located on West Street in downtown Annapolis. This Tuesday, enjoy the music of early pop with The Music of Abba for $42.50. Schooner Woodwind offers a specialty lighthouse cruise this Sunday, August 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The sailing is done around the Chesapeake Bay and is made even more enticing with an included lunch, drinks, and snacks. When it comes to history, few cities have a more attractive and celebrated history than Annapolis. Celebrate history this Monday with the two-hour “Historic Monday” cruise with Schooner Woodwind. The topic for this week is the Chesapeake Bay’s role in the War of 1812. Cruise on the Bay starting at 6:30 p.m. for $42 (adults) or $27 (children). The final installment of Chesapeake Children’s Museum’s Bubble Festival comes this Sunday, August 11.
