Restaurant Week has come and gone, yet Annapolis doesn’t have to stop appreciating food and drink. Instead, there’s another community-wide, week-long event that highlights local eats to an extent but, more importantly, highlights local beer. That’s right, Annapolis Beer Week returns for March 29 through April 5 and you’re invited! Beer of course will be celebrated, but there are plenty of events, fundraisers for local charities, and fun to be had for the over-21 crowd. Keep reading for the details.

The Beer

Events scheduled throughout the week, like the beer run described below, feature a diversity of brews to sample or gulp, whatever you prefer. Participants in beer week can expect beers from: Angry Orchard, Leinenkugels, Sam Adams, New Belgium, Ballast Point, Devils Backbone, Fordham/Old Dominion, DuClaw, Troegs, Yuengling, Victory, Flying Dog, Kona, Yards, Rogue, Port City, Boulevard, Stella Artois, Fruh, Heavy Seas, and Goose Island.

First up, the 2nd Annual Beer Run

The Annapolis Beer Week event is one that values beer so much that it is the center of every activity, even the beer run. In fact, beer week kicks off with this event, the 2nd Annual Beer Run, which involves sampling over forty beers and racing in the 5k or the one-mile cross-country course. Think you can stomach it? Begin prepping for the race that happens on Saturday, March 29th, at 1 p.m. at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds. Prizes will be awarded. Registration is open that morning at 10 a.m. and open Friday, March 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Green Turtle off Jennifer Road. Proceeds benefit MS Busters Fundraising Team.
