Annapolis Restaurant Week is finally here, and we are sure this year is going to be better (and more delicious) than ever. USNA’s Music Department returns with Pirates of Penzance on the 27th. This beloved and interesting performance takes place in Mahan Hall and is termed as the winter musical for Navy. The Naval Academy’s site has more information.
Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts welcomes Dinnerstein, Ravel, and a Hero’s Life, a performance by the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra on Friday and Saturday of this week. The Colonial Players open a new performance this week: Watch on the Rhine. This take takes viewers to America, pre-WWII, to a family struggling for balance between family, safety, and ties to country. The show opens on the 27th. Go to thecolonialplayers.org to see more and obtain tickets.

Annapolis History
London Town and Gardens hosts a winter lecture series with a special emphasis on African American culture this week. Tuesday is the date and 10 a.m. is the time. The price is $10. Head to fourriversheritage.org to learn more about this event.
Also on Tuesday, the William Paca House and Gardens hosts a kid-friendly backyard event in which participants will get the chance to learn about hibernation, seasonal changes, and much more all from a friendly bear. The time is 10 a.m. The link above holds more information.
