This week marks the holiday that turns everyone Irish: St. Patrick’s Day! Irish restaurants in the area, Galway Bay in particular, will host Irish-themed fun and food. The 5th Annual Oyster Roast and Sock Burning is here! The Annapolis Maritime Museum hosts this event which celebrates the coming of spring, the lovely bivalve treasures we have in the Bay, and good fellowship. Maryland and World Artists Experience join forces to bring Russia: Kremlin Chamber Orchestra to the stage on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Enjoy this cultural experience for free. More information is available at marylandhall.org.

Not into laughs? Try the St. John Passion concert at Maryland Hall, a Live Arts Maryland Performance. This orchestra concert is scheduled for Friday and Saturday; 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The last Maryland Hall event this week is the ArtFest, the free arts extravaganza that welcomes all to enjoy the live demos, hands-on activities, and much more happening this Sunday. The excitement begins at 1 p.m. and is perfect for kids and parents alike.

Downtown Annapolis is the place to be on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd, as all of the store owners, historical landmark organizations, and tour guide aficionados welcome the three-day celebration known as Maryland Day. Maryland Day happens every year around this time with the goal of celebrating Maryland’s history, foundation, and accomplishments. Numerous locations throughout Annapolis (and surrounding areas) emphasize on all sorts of special events, sights to see, and activities to try that are ideal for the entire family. Going green has never been more exciting, thanks to social (and free!) events like Annapolis Green’s Green Drinks.
