The Annapolis Film Festival comes town this week, starting on the 26th and ending on the 29th. Celebrate the greatness of new film, the nostalgic throwbacks to classic films, and discussing themes and underlying notions with a like-minded group. Spring-time cleaning makes way for spring-time shopping, right? This Saturday and Sunday, Annapolis Business Association puts on the annual and much-anticipated March Madness event–an all-out shopping extravaganza in downtown Annapolis. Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts celebrates the Annapolis Film Festival this week (see above for more), in addition to two other events: Crafting as a Business and Gluzman Plays Prokofiev. The first event, Crafting as a Business, helps participants understand the fundamentals of artisan business, including tips and ideas for expanding. The costs is $45 and the date is the 24th at 7 p.m. The second event, Gluzman Plays Prokofiev, is presented by the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. Friday and Saturday are the dates for this event. Tuesday, the William Paca House hosts a beloved family friendly event, Mr. Paca’s Backyard. The storytelling time in the backyard encourages children to search for young robins, signs of spring, and native animals. This event happens on the first day of spring–ideal for this event. The Hammond-Harwood House welcomes spring with an Easter Egg Hunt & Animal Tours this Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. Enjoy learning about the King Charles Spaniel and how influential this cute pup was on the decorations in the Hammond-Harwood House.
