This week in Annapolis is as enjoyable as the last. Try out the ghost tours, pub crawls, sails, or even participate in a long-standing neighborhood rivalry with Eastport’s Tug of War!
Annapolis Entertainment
Do you feel the spirit of competition is lingering in the air? You should, as it’s once again time for the Maritime Republic of Eastport (MRE) Tug of War. This tradition is popular throughout all of Annapolis. The Tug of War is scheduled for Saturday, November 2. Aside from the main event–the Tug of War–the event features a chili cook-off, live music, tons of food, and plenty of socializing with adult drinks. The event pits Annapolis against Eastport in the main event. The festivities kick off at noon. Visit MRE’s site to learn more.
Just because the cooler weather has set in doesn’t mean cruising on the open water stops! Watermark continues their forty-minute cruises on the Bay and around the waters of Annapolis daily. Some of these cruises are as inexpensive as $14! For more information and to book a cruise, head to Cruises on the Bay.

As this week hosts Halloween, it only seems appropriate to include a haunted pub crawl and ghost tour in this week’s entertainment. Thanks to Annapolis Tours and Crawls, you can enjoy a haunted pub crawl either Friday or Saturday at 9 p.m. These crawls present the ghost stories that relate to each pub or tavern visited. Tickets are around $22. Or, try the several ghost tours offered: the Walking Ghost Tour or the Twisted History Crawl. Each present a new side of Annapolis you surely haven’t experienced before! Head to Tours and Crawls to learn more.

Annapolis History
With the coming of November, Annapolis turns to holiday and winter-themed entertainment. Most notably, the “Annapolis by Candlelight” event hosted downtown on the streets of Duke of Gloucester, Market, Conduit, and Charles. Certain homes on these beloved streets and Acton Hall will be open to receive visitors on Friday, November 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. Partake in this tradition of touring historic homes with exquisite architecture for $30. Saturday presents the same opportunity at the same time for the same price. Join the tradition before it’s gone! Head to Historic Annapolis Foundation for more information.
