If you really pay attention, you can feel the wind preparing to change and see the trees anxious to turn colors of the sun. Fall is encroaching on the blazing days of summer, and waiting for the afternoon humidity to fizzle out. As we’re in a seasonal transition phase, it’s only natural to look to the newness ahead. Annapolitans have more than fall to look forward to this season; the Fall Festival hosted by Maryland Avenue and State Circle returns! Though there is still a month to go until the festival, prepping now just seems right.
For those of you who have been to the festival, this article will excitedly jog your memory; for those who have not been, this article gives you a sneak peek at the festivities.
This Annapolis tradition allows for a mingling of many parties. As Maryland Avenue and State Circle open up, business owners and festival attendees can converse about products, the fall season, and other upcoming events in the city. Festival guests can also mingle amongst themselves and share which craft vendors they like most. Virtually every business on Maryland Avenue and State Circle is open and ready to welcome. The fall festival showcases more than the boutiques and restaurants on Maryland Avenue and State Circle; attendees can enjoy craft vendors, antiques, home decorations, art, children’s activities, and live music. As much of the festival takes place outsides, attendees can bring pets. Another marvelous perk: the whole thing is free, as is parking on Calvert Street and St. John’s Street.
Whether you want to dine outside, shop for antiques, get the kids and/or pets out of the house, or simply want to stroll historic downtown Annapolis in the crisp fall air, Maryland Avenue and State Circle’s Fall Festival is the place for you. The festival takes place on September 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 410-990-9700 or visit http://www.marylandave.com/events.cfm. See you there!
