Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announces his two nominations for the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) Board of Commissioners.
“I took my time and deliberately identified professional qualifications that will benefit both HACA’s board and its residents,” Mayor Pantelides said. “The two men I am nominating bring a wide range of experience that will help HACA get back on track operationally and administratively.”
Martin L. “Chip” Doordan is the CEO Emeritus of Anne Arundel Health Systems, Inc., after serving as its Chief Executive Officer and President from 1994 to 2009 and as its Chief Executive Officer from 2009 to 2011. As CEO, Mr. Doordan managed more than 3,200 employees and an annual budget of $551 million. Along with being a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Army Medical Service Corps as a Captain, he has earned two master’s degrees and was a 2001 Leadership Maryland graduate.
Christopher B. Flynn is currently an attorney in the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office and brings more than 15 years of logistic and leadership experience to the position. Mr. Flynn is a United States Marine and served the Secretary of Defense as the Project Lead for the office’s Contingency Program Management Initiative. His qualifications include operational planning, training, government contracts, administration, personnel management, finance, and business development. Mr. Flynn is a United States Naval Academy graduate, class of 1996, and earned his J.D from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2007.
