What better way to highlight downtown businesses and spring-like weather than with a huge sidewalk sale, right in the middle of downtown Annapolis? That’s right, Annapolis Business Association’s 6th Annual March Madness Sidewalk Sale is back again, complete with great discounts on food and merchandise, fun activities, and more. Curious? We have the scoop on this beloved, low-key shopping and dining event below.
What is it?
March Madness brings together the community and the locally owned businesses that make it so special. Annapolis Business Association works hard to offer great incentives to businesses and in turn, shoppers reap the benefits of raffles, giveaways, and good deals.
Retailers in particular can take advantage of the “Sidewalk Sale” part of the title with tables full of discounted merchandise set up outside the store. As some shopping can be done outside, this event is pet-friendly. As usual, pets are not allowed inside the stores, though.
What does it offer?
First and foremost, great shopping. As Annapolis Business Association encourages all downtown businesses–retailers and restaurant owners–to participate in this two-day event, your favorite eateries, cafes, bars, and shops will offer great incentives to purchase goods.
By far, the best incentive to participate is the chance to win the grand prize–a $25 gift card from each business that participates (listed below), worth over $600. When is it?
The last Saturday and Sunday in March–the 29th and 30th–host this event. The starting and ending times are dependent upon the businesses you choose to visit.
