Two explosive packages were found at separate state government buildings in Maryland Thursday, The Capital Newspaper in Annapolis reported.

One of the packages was found at the Jeffrey Building in downtown Annapolis, while the second was discovered at the Maryland Department of Transportation building in Hanover.

Cabinet secretaries were told to close mailroom operations at their buildings and stop the delivery of mail until investigators determined where the packages came from, the report said.

Federal and state investigators were headed to the scenes of the incidents. It was not immediately known whether anyone was injured.
