Maritime Republic of Eastport’s Tug o’ War

The annual Maritime Republic of Eastport’s Tug o’ War charitable event is billed as the longest International Tug of War over water in the world.  It features a 1700-foot rope, 450 tuggers and 1000 spectators in a festival like atmosphere. Tugging begins promptly (more or less) at the crack o' noon.

Oyster Festival
