US Naval Academy senior quarterback Ricky Dobbs has received an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game. The game will be televised by ESPN2 and will be played on Saturday, January 22 at 4 p.m. at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.

Dobbs and Roger Staubach are the only Navy quarterbacks ever to receive invitations for the game, and Dobbs is just the 23rd Navy player in all to be selected to play in the longest-running college all-star game.

Dobbs had 25 career starts, rushed for more than 100 yards in 13 of those starts, and put together an 18-7 record as a starter. He scored at least one rushing touchdown in 22 of his starts.
